Project: Climate Action Academy: Food systems and dietary habits
The Climate Action Academy: Food systems and dietary habits (CAA-FOOD) is an international online training program in Germany and Slovenia that focuses on food systems and dietary habits as a relatable entry point to visualise linkages between climate change and the daily life of young people.
Organisations participating in the CAA-FOOD program collaborate to explore and tailor education for sustainable development (ESD) methods and tools to the theme of food production and consumption, loss and waste in food systems, healthy food for a healthy future, farmers and just transitions, food security, among others. By the end of the 5-weeks academy, participant organisations were expected to acquire new skills and knowledge that they can incorporate into their daily work with youth. In addition, the methods developed during the academy were compiled in a methodological toolkit and made available to any organisation that wants to educate and discuss the topic of food and climate change.
